With a profound sense of gratitude, I am glad you are visiting our site and taking a tour through our pages. The truth of the matter is - all we have is now! We can't store time or days to do things right when we get to them, we have to do things right - NOW. As the Chief Executive Officer of an extraordinary organization, it is my extreme pleasure to welcome you to our website. I wish I could meet you face to face and share with you the stories of our development, our failures, our challenges and our vision.
Anytime someone takes the time to peruse our website, I consider it an honor and I hope you are learning more about our organization and the work we do as well as intend to do. Our reach is wide, focusing on Black communities, domestically and internationally. As I grew up into knowing who and what I am, the Black community became very important to me. I wanted to give the best of who and what I am to the Beloved Community. I know my Greatest work can be done with what I know and all that is inside me from loving who I am as a Black person and seeing myself in every Brother and Sister I meet.. I believe we all have a responsibility to leave the world better than we found it - HBC is my contribution.
If you are looking for an organization with a big vision to spend your time with, don't look any further - here we are! We refuse to be average and want you to use your time with an organization that intends to change the course of life for Black communities. It's not the today we are focused on, it's the tomorrow and 100 years from now that we're taking into consideration. Our programs are designed to leave people in tact and give them grace, honor and integrity.
At some point in your life, somebody may have said something that took away your voice, power and self - HBC intends to put it back. So, please ask yourself - how can you use your time, talent, resources and access to make our community better? Join the leadership, volunteer or donor ranks of our organization!
I believe we have more years in front of us than behind us and we have more time to make a difference in our community, country and the world we have been given. So, 100 years from now, when it comes to the legacy you leave - what will it be?
Please drop me an email and let me know what you think about our organization, the programs and services we offer or an idea you want to share. We are open and here for you, can we count on you to be there for us when we need you?
With Kindest Regard, I am...
LaMont "Montee" Evans, Chief Executive Officer
