In an effort to develop meaningful programs and services, the organization is ever-evolving and developing as well as participating in the development of programs and providing services that improve the quality of life for Black communities. Below is a snapshot of programs, both past, present and future the organization is connected with.

Black AIDS Project - USA: This project is multi leveled and tiered. HBC serves as the lead organization for communications and materials coordination for National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. This national community mobilization project for Black Americans has four focal points: (1) get Blacks educated about HIV/AIDS in their local communities; (2) get Blacks tested for HIV so they can know their status regularly; (3) get Blacks involved in local efforts around leading organizations and participating in opportunities to engage local citizens around the epidemic and foster new leadership; and (4) get Blacks testing or already tested positive for HIV into care and treatment. This project was started in 1999 by five community based organizations funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. HBC's Chief Executive Officer LaMont "Montee" Evans has had the opportunity to serve as the lead for six years.

In addition, HBC has developed The Phoenix Rising Project which is a community mobilization and leadership development project focused on getting community stakeholders and networks of Black Americans involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Black America.

Black AIDS Project - Africa: This project is based solely around mobilizing specific African countries on HIV/AIDS awareness. The intentions are to customize the mobilization of communities and villages based on the scope of the epidemic in that country. Currently, HBC partners with organizations in both Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. In April 2009, CEO Evans will be embarking upon a five country tour to visit AIDS orphanages, hospitals and villages where HIV/AIDSA has and continues to have a devastating impact on the citizens of that country. The focus is to exchange what works in the United States around community mobilization and learn various strategies used in Africa to mobilize villages and communities around the epidemic. The following two projects are under the Black AIDS Project - Africa umbrella:

Ghana HIV/AIDS Awareness Project: This project is based in Ghana, West Africa. HBC, in conjunction with four Ghanaian based organizations work together to mobilize citizens through interactive theater, soccer tournaments, community AIDS AIDS walks and programs/events customized for those specific villages and or communities.

Cote d'Ivoire HIV/AIDS Awareness Project: This project is based in Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. HBC, in conjunction with NGO LE Soutien (a non government organization) work together to mobilize Ivorians through sports and village projects, an HIV/AIDS walk as well as programs/events customized for specific areas of the country. HBC has also begun conversation around the reduction and elimination of female mutilation ceremonies with this organization.

Atlanta Metropolitan College "SpeakOut" World AIDS Day Program: HBC, in partnership with Atlanta Metropolitan College will be utilizing spoken word poetry as a form of entertaining and educating students, faculty and staff on HIV and AIDS in the 30310 ZIP code area. This program will occur annually based on partnership with the school. HIV testing provided, prizes for participants and statistics and information relevant to HIV in the 30310 ZIP code will be distributed.

Organization Development & Training: Due to HBC's CEO having more then 19 years of working with nonprofit organizations; serving on boards; training and developing as well as assisting in the growth and development of nonprofit organizations, HBC provides organization development and training to nonprofit organizations in dire need of this assistance.

As more programs and services are identified by the board of directors, HBC will provide a listing as well as an overview of the program and or services.
